The Mysterious Planet with Improbable Orbit

In the outermost regions of our solar system, beyond the familiar territory of the nine planets, scientists discovered a mysterious object nicknamed Farout (2018 VG18).

It is the most distant body ever observed in our solar system, sitting at a staggering distance of about 120 astronomical units (AU) from the sun- 120 times the distance from the Earth to the Sun.

Yet, more interesting is another celestial body nicknamed 'Farfarout'.

At around 132 AU, Farfarout takes the title for the most distant object in our solar system.

Here's where the surprising twist happens; Farfarout has an unusual orbit that brings it within about 27 AU of the sun, closer than Neptune, coupled with an incredibly elongated and oblique orbit.

It is a fascinating glimpse into the most distant and as yet barely explored regions of our solar system..
