Concorde
The Concorde was a turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner that was in service from 1976 until 2003. Developed and manufactured jointly by AƩrospatiale (France) and the British Aircraft Corporation (UK), it was one of only two supersonic jets to enter commercial service, alongside the Soviet-built Tupolev Tu-144.
Capable of cruising at twice the speed of sound (Mach 2.04), the Concorde could fly from London to New York in just under 3.5 hours. Its distinctive droop-nose design and delta wing made it instantly recognizable, and it remains a cultural icon of luxury and innovation in aviation history.
